Kitchenaid Filters Same issues as other brands
I am not sure what is going on with the filters for my Kitchenaid refrigerator. I have used Whirlpool branded filters and they have a short lifespan, so figured I would try the Kitchenaid branded filters. Same issues. Installed on 1/6/2023 and within a month the water trickles out. My fridge showed that there was still 80% life left. These are VERY expensive and should have good water flow even after a couple of months which is not the case. Installed the 2nd one from the order on 2/21/2023, so will see what happens. But for almost 60 bucks, I should be getting more than a month and a half. Our household I know for fact did not use anywhere near 200 gallons in a month and a half.

Flushing after installation very inconvenient
after installing but before using this filter for human consumption KitchenAid states that you should flush through 4 gallons of water. The water from the filter during this flush is milky. I don't know what causes the milkiness, and neither does customer support, but it forms a slight slime. Not only is this very inconvenient, but my personal experience over several years is that a 4 gallon flush is the minimum. Sometimes I have to flush 8 gallons+ to rid the water of the milkiness. And you have to pause between flushing times.

Disappointed!
I just got off the phone with customer service re: my new Kitchenaid Stainless steal French door fridge and issues with the filter. I have only had my fridge for 4 months and have already replace the original filter and now after just a month my water trickles out of the dispenser. I called and spoke to customer services and that really was no help so I thought I'd check out figures online on their website. As I am reading the reviews re: this filter I am disheartened that this seems to be an issue that is common to this filter/fridge.

Poor quality water filter
These water filters are poor quality. I've purchased these a few times and they normally last about a month and they should last 6 months. The first filter I installed in May 2023 and got me to mid June 2023. I replaced with the second one and it got me to August. My fridge also shows 80% life left. These are super expensive and should have good water flow even after a couple of months. Our household did not use 200 gallons in a month and a half.

Barely works after a month
I've used 4 of these filters in less than a year, and they work great for about a week and then they slow and slow and then are maddeningly slow once a month goes by. There's no way these last for more than 2 months max and then I have to replace them. Super disappointing, cannot recommend this, and I'm researching other pitcher filter products to use instead of these. Way too expensive for terrible performance.

Bought 5 month ago. works great. Easiest filter to apply to my refrigerator. had to get this from Kitchenaid. Told to buy other brands they would work. They were always a problem to install. The name brand product works better

For all my water snobs this is for youuu
I’ve been told that I am a horrible water snob since I can tell water types apart and do have a preference. I prefer purified water close to that of smart water but have been trying to limit plastic use. I’ve been using a KitchenAid fridge despite feeling that it’s not as aesthetically pleasing in terms of matching my decor because YALL I can tell you this is the ONLY fridge water I’ve ever actually enjoyed. I store these filters in BULK even though they last quite a long time and are slightly on the pricier side. If you haven’t been liking your fridge water I highly highly recommend these filters/fridge

My refrigerator KitchenAid is one of the best brands and I like to keep my family healthy by changing the water filter in time, nowadays the simple gadgets and steps can fulfill your wellbeing to the max, the filter can be changed super easy by placing in main top compartment just by aligning, pushing and turning, every six months is suggested to replace it, filter is doing the amazing job by reducing all the metals and minerals as it improves taste and odor in the water, love it how easy you can purchase online, highly recommend to schedule your fridge filter replacement, we love our ice and water.

Reduces Impurities for Fresh Taste!
What a wonderful campaign to be selected for! My husband is a competitive athlete and drinks over a gallon of water/day. We try to minimize the amount of disposable water bottles and have converted over to the one-gallon Ice Shakers to ensure he consumes enough water. Replacing the water filter on our fridge is extremely important in a health-conscious household. Installation was simple (and something we were already familiar with). Nothing hits the spot like ice cold, fresh tasting water!
